Martin Hill Orchid Sanctuary: This is to the south of Christiana. Jamaica has several orchid species and more than 100 of them can be seen and photographed at this orchideum. Most of the 25 Jamaican endemic orchids are found here.

Whatever month you visit, you'll be sure to see orchids in bloom. The constantly changing cornucopia of colours should be viewed in all seasons to truly appreciate nature's beauty. This is the second of Alcan's two sanctuaries and boasts over 20 very rare orchids, including the Epidendrum Scalpeligerum, which prior to its discovery, had not been seen for over 17 years.

Twenty-five of the orchids in this garden are native to Jamaica. Wandering through 725 metres of trails here will certainly refresh your spirit. Rest areas and ample visitor parking are available.
