St. Mark's Church, also established in 1820. It's worth a look inside for its timbered clerestory. The graveyard is filled with tombs of British soldiers who died in a yellowfever epidemic.
Built in 1814, this church has a rich history. This beautiful and historic brick building is a national landmark, and the pride and joy of Manchester. The church yard has a number of graves which is in itself a history lesson of the mix of cultures which are part of Jamaica's history.
Extremely involved in education, like many Anglican churches, they are the founders of the Churches Teacher College, among others. The present congregation numbers 900. Call for information on other service hours and activities.
