Frenchman's Cove: Port Antonio Attractions & Sightseeing, Jamaica

This small cove, just east of the hamlet of Draper's, 7 kilometres from Port Antonio, boasts one of the prettiest white sand beaches for miles. A stream winds lazily to the white sand beach that shelves steeply into the water. Guests enjoy the best of both worlds, fresh and sea water. There is a snack bar and a secure parking lot. There is a fee to use this beach and this is included in your room rate at Hotel Mocking Bird Hill. The beach is closed on Tuesdays.
This private beach was free entry for us through our villa rental (Goblin Hill). You arrive at the front gate and have to walk through a natural garden, crossing small bridges over the river that flows to the ocean. The walk is short, but there's lots to see along the way, such as interesting birds, butterflies, flowers, and luxurious foliage.
Frenchman's Cove Resort is a 45–acre private estate in Jamaica, complete with a fresh water stream and its own sheltered white sand beach. Accommodations include 1, 2 and 3 bedroom secluded villas scattered among the cliffs, in a park like setting above the famous Frenchman's Cove Beach – one of the prettiest beaches on Jamaica.
