Karibu Cottage: Cottage Accommodation in Treasure Beach, St. Elizabeth

Karibu Cottage in Treasure Beach Jamaica is a simple place to stay just a couple minutes walk to the beach at Frenchmans Cove but located in the hills above it all where the wind blows down from the Santa Cruz Mountains and keeps things a bit cooler than it gets right down on the beach.

Accommodation

Karibu Cottage can accommodate six individuals so you will never feel like you're part of a horde. Rather, your meals can be cooked to order and you can relax as you enjoy the solitude and peace of the Caribbean. Two units (A&B) face the Caribbean Sea. Each unit (A&B) sleeps two individuals and comes complete with fan, hot water and kitchen facilities. Unit C sleeps two individuals and has a fan and limited kitchen facilities.

The rooms in Karibu are small and simple with little more than a bed, window and fan in them. Our room even lacked a dresser or any place to store clothing etc. The common or shared kitchen and bath were clean and sufficient. The shared kitchen comes with a gas stove and a small electric refrigerator and enough pots and pans to make most meals.

Dining and Refreshment

Your meals can be cooked to order and you can relax as you enjoy the solitude and peace of the Caribbean. The beach and local restaurants are a mere three minute walk from the cottage. The units are perched on a hill overlooking Treasure Beach, which guarantees privacy, yet proximity to the "hot spots".

Health and Recreation

As a guest at Karibu Cottage, you can rest on a shaded or sun–filled deck, take a walk, swim, read or boat in a secure and uplifting environment. The facility is new and only guests and their invitee's are allowed on the premises.
