Dunns River Falls

Take a trip to Dunns River Falls located in Ocho Rios a few miles from the city center and one of the major tourist attraction in Jamaica. The Dunns River Falls cascade over smooth lime stone rocks, through the tropical rain forest all the way to the beach. The falls are made up of limestone which tiers gradually allowing you to climb from the beach to the top, taking some of the most spectacular scenery along the way. Falmouth Old Town

Visit the historic Town of Falmouth and view the 18^th century architecture and capture the moment on camera. Speak with the towns people and get in touch with Jamaican culture. Falmouth is known as one of the best preserved Georgian towns in the Caribbean. The town was founded by Thomas Reid in 1769 with wide streets laid out in a grid with water supply and public buildings. Falmouth port was the main shipping port for the flourishing sugar industry at the time and became a flourishing market center in Jamaica.

Green Grotto Caves

The Green Grotto Caves are Jamaica's most prominent natural attractions with visitors of international repute dating back as far as the 18^th century. Green Grotto is 1,525 metres long and 12 metres deep and is characterised by numerous chambers and light holes and a subterranean lake - the Grotto Lake - occupies its bowels. The caves can also be identified with that period between the two world wars where they were used by smugglers running arms to Cuba.

Beach in Falmouth

Relax on one of the many beaches in the historical town of Falmouth. The beaches are not far from the old town or the cruise ship pier. Columbus Park

At Columbus Park Museum in nearby Discovery Bay, where the explorer first dropped anchor off Jamaica, you can view a water wheel used to power a sugarcane mill, as well as a canoe hollowed Arawak style from a log. You'll see a tally, used to count bananas carried on men's heads from plantation to ship, as well as a planter's strongbox with a weighted lead base to prevent its theft.

Fern Gully

Take a drive through Fern Gully, which is a protected national treasure that run for three miles through a scenic stretch of road into Ocho Rios. Over 300 species of fern can be found in this dark, shaded gorge almost 3 miles in length. At one time it was a stream that had cut a deep valley in the mountain and over time has been populated with dense rain forest vegetation, including many varieties of ferns, hence the name Fern Gully.

Ocean on The Ridge

Ocean on The Ridge is Jamaica's newest tourist venue with some of the most breathtaking views across the town of Ocho Rios and the bay. Located a few mile in the hills of Ocho Rios, where you can sit back and soak up the sun, beautiful scenery, enjoy some great Jamaican cuisine and refreshment. Oceans on the Ridge is a great venue for performers and live entertainment, the local bands play the best in Calypso and Reggae music. Not just a venue for great picture opportunities.
