Appleton Rum Estate

Visit the legendary Distillery nestled in the picturesque Nassau Valley on Jamaica's South Coast. Sample our freshly pressed cane juice and learn about the historical production of the world famous Appleton Rum. On a guided tour, you learn about the history of rum making. After a bit of rum history, starting with the days when sugarcane was crushed by donkey power, tours then progress into the modern factory, where one of Jamaica's best-known products is bottled. After the tour, samples flow freely. Complimentary bottle of Rum for every visitor. There's also a good restaurant here serving genuine Jamaican dishes.

Margaritaville Negril

Margaritaville Negril opened in December 1996 along Negril's world famous 7-mile stretch of white sand beach. Encouraged by the runaway success of the Montego Bay restaurant they opened less than a year earlier, Brian and Ian opened the Negril branch of the beach bar and grill to the delight of tourists and locals alike. A unique Negril attraction is Margaritaville's giant water trampoline.

Negril Duty Free Shopping

Time Square is a luxury shopping center, conveniently located on the main road which runs parallel to Long Bay, close to Negril's seven miles long beach, across the road. Time Square Mall have about a dozen free shops selling souvenirs and jewelry. Negril's only cigar shop is located here, featuring a walk-in humidor and authentic Cuban cigars. Sunshine Village Complex includes souvenir shops, a grocery, a pharmacy, and an exchange house (cambio). Coral Seas Plaza has another set of shops selling jewelry, flowers, and souvenirs.

YS Falls

There are seven waterfalls, several which cascade into natural pools. Some areas are fairly rocky and do not allow swimming. Lifeguards on site, indicate which areas are for swimming, however, being able to swim is a requirement. There is a natural pool, fed by underground and above ground springs, which is more suitable for children and others unable to swim. If you seek total relaxation, you may choose to spend the day as an observer, immersed in the bounty of nature,surrounded by water, gardens, giant trees and constant surprise of tropical birds.

Zipline Canopy Ride

More recent additions to the attractions at YS Falls, include exhilarating canopy rides, which glide from the top of the falls to its base, and river tubing. These adventures are accompanied by experienced guides to take care of you along the way. Boasting a magnificent 7 tiered cascading waterfall, an expansive wading pool fed by underground springs, exciting canopy rides which careen you down the alley high above the falls. river tube rides and spectacular views, adventure waits for you in the Jungle!

Bamboo Avenue

Often called "Holland Bamboo" is a four-kilometer-long attraction established by the owners of Holland Estate and dates back to the 19^th century. One of the most photographed places in Jamaica is the 2 ½ mile long Bamboo Avenue located between Middle Quarters and Lacovia. Stands of bamboo growing alongside the road form a green, feathery tunnel that flutters with the slightest breeze. Bamboo is regarded as the fastest growing plant in the world. The species of bamboo grown in Bamboo Avenue is Bambusa vulgaris.

Negril Beach

Negril is more famous for it's seven miles long beach and Rick's Cafe which has grown into Negril's premier gathering spot and has remained such for over a quarter of a century. Negril seven miles golden sand beach has always rated amongst the top beaches world wide. Negril beach is the beach of two halves - one end of the beach is occupied by the large all inclusive hotel brands and the end of the beach towards Negril West End occupied by the more smaller hotels and apartment accommodations.

Negril Town Tour

Take a tour around the famous resort of Negril and Negril West End including Negril Cliffs, Negril Lighthouse. Negril is located in Western Jamaica and extends from Negril Lighthouse at Negril West Point in the parish of Westmoreland, to Bloody Bay in the Parish of Hanover. Negril is mainly a small beach resort town that caters for the more hip-crowd tourist from all over the world. Middle Quarters

Drive through middle quarters and Bamboo and you'll be greeted by the 'swimp ladies' on the roadside. Freshly caught 'swimp' in boiled on wood fires and sold fresh to passing motorist. They are selling succulent cooked and peppered shrimps caught in nearby Black River. Middle Quarters, the only place on the island to get traditional hot pepper shrimp. It is sold by the bag by women who stand on the edge of the road.
