Jamaica has some of the best deep sea fishing that will satisfy any angler from beginner to season professional. Jamaican deep sea fishing is extremely popular among tourist and locals alike.

Deep Sea Fishing Charter in Negril

Our fishing is mostly offshore trolling. We fish outside of Negril, the most westerly point of Jamaica. Depending on the weather and the day we head off shore for up to eight miles.

We start fishing after about five to ten minutes of leaving shore as the drop off is not far from land. We troll mostly artificial baits and Ballyhoo.It is also possible to chum and chunk, and spin cast around logs and weed lines for Mahi Mahi. We will place up-to six lines (more on larger boats) in the water ensuring a greater chance of catching a big fish. Once we get a hit on one or more of the lines, you will sit in the angler chair and land your catch. The fishing is pretty constant year round with a peak in Marlin in the Fall and Winter months.

Migrating Sperm Whales can be seen often from the fall until March. Spotted and Bottlenose Dolphins abound year round.

What do we do with the fish?

We tag and release all Billfish, replicas of fish can be purchased and a release certificate is available from the Billfish Foundation with membership.

Other species of fish can be kept and the catch is split. If you want to take fish back to your resort please let the crew know at the time. We often donate fish to needy persons in the area and ask that you do not take more fish with you than you can eat as we do not want to waste it! It is not possible to carry the fish with you off the island.

Each deep sea fishing boat comes with a professional crew with solid reputation for landing the big fish such as Blue/White Marlin, Kingfish, Wahoo, Yellowfin Tuna, Striped Tuna, Blackfin Tuna and Mahi Mahi.

The Caribbean underwater geography create a rich marine environment for several types of fish such as the blue marlin, white marlin, sailfish, mahi mahi, wahoo, barracuda, red snapper, grouper, bonita, shark, green jack, jack fish, yellow jack, kingfish, tarpon, striped tuna, black fin tuna and yellow fin tuna.

Light snacks and beverages are provided on the boat for your enjoyment, extra can be supplied a local rate upon request include Red Stripe Beer, water, soda pop, champagne :: Rice and peas, rolls, chicken, jerk pork, vegetables etc.
