Location

Whitfield Hall is a Blue Mountain coffee estate that was founded in 1776. Nestled at 4,200 feet on the main trail to Jamaica's Blue Mountain Peak, our historic home has been lodging visitors from around the world for over 100 years.

The setting is peaceful and serene –– gorgeous flowers, mountain ranges, a profusion of coffee plants with bright red berries.

Accommodation

The Main House is an 18_th century structure which can house up to 33 people; there is a comfortable lounge with a fire place and eating area. No electricity, but vintage Tilley lamps provide light. Within walking distance of the Main House, is a popular alternative, the Cottage.

Dormitory–style rooms - 4 dormitory style rooms and 2 attic lofts with four to eight bunk beds and shared cold water bath. Bed linens are provided, but guests should bring their own towels. This is a terrific budget option for individuals and small or large groups.

The Colonel Whitfield Room - Our latest addition. This room's decor was inspired by Colonel William Whitfield, who established Whitfield Hall in 1776. The room features a full (double) sized bed and is quaintly outfitted with a dresser, a bed side table, and mosquito netting. We decorated the room to evoke the historic roots of the house: a Georgian blue for the walls, toile curtains and lace curtains, oriental rugs, and antique English prints.

The Cottage Our pleasant two bedroom cottage is within walking distance of the main house. It has an eating area, one bathroom with solar–heated water, a small kitchen, and a porch. One room has beds; the other has bunk beds. All total, it can sleep up to 10 people. The cottage has some of the most spectacular views on the property. Have a cup of Blue Mountain coffee and enjoy.

Dining and Refreshment

The main hall has a cozy lounge with a large fireplace where guests can relax and take meals. There are also tables outside. A private cottage is available for up to 8 guests.

Health and Recreation

Our friendly staff can arrange guides to Blue Mountain Peak. Staff is happy to cook meals upon request, or guests can elect to cook their own meals in our kitchen. No electricity, but antique Tilley lanterns add a cheerful glow to rooms in the evenings.
