Location

Strung along the coast between tropical greenery and sapphire sea, like a string of glowing pearls, the Trident lets you relax in warm soft breezes while in the care of a truly professional staff. The fresh white buildings are Old World Colonial English architecture with a Caribbean flavor.

Accommodation

The hotel's main building is furnished with antiques and cooled by sea breezes. Your accommodations will be a studio cottage or tower, reached by a path through the gardens. In the cottages, a large bedroom with ample sitting area opens onto a private patio with a sea view.

All units have ceiling fans, plenty of storage space, and tasteful Jamaican antiques and colorful chintzes. Beds are most comfortable, while bathrooms have combination shower and tubs.

Guest rooms are elegant and private; dining here is white–gloved and equally cultivated. There is a small beach area, but most of the property is bordered by rugged rocks which are pounded by the sea night and day – truly a stunning sight.

Dining and Refreshment

Dining completes the tropical luxury, with the red and gold Terrace Restaurant, the waiters in white gloves, and service on Baccarat crystal and English silver. Favorite menu items include hors d'oeuvres of bacon–wrapped banana, Duck a l'Orange, and Chocolate Marquise with white and dark chocolate for dessert. After a gourmet dinner, enjoy a tropical drink and the house Calypso band in the bar.

Various meal plans are available while English afternoon tea is open to all, a nice break from the tennis courts, swimming pool, racquetball and snorkeling.
