Nestled in the hills of St. Mary, Castleton Gardens is a haven for nature lovers who want a cool, quiet place to relax. Added to the attraction, is the cooling water of the Wag Water River, where visitors may have a swim. Castleton Gardens became one of the great gardens of the Hemisphere with its rich variety of plants. In the past Castleton had over four (4000) thousand species of plants from the great English Garden at Kew. Many plants introduced in the island in the late 19th and early 20th centuries were planted here. These included the Poinciana, Bombay Mango, the Spathodea, Navel Orange, and tangerine.

The Devon House Mansion is the architectural dream of Jamaica's first black millionaire George Stiebel and one of Jamaica's most celebrated historical landmarks. Stiebel was among three wealthy Jamaicans who constructed elaborate homes during the late 19th century at the corner of Trafalgar Road and Hope Road. Stiebel's legacy lives on with the beautifully maintained Devon House, which was declared a national monument in 1990 by the Jamaica National Heritage Trust. The early history of Devon House dates back to the mid seventeenth century when Britain captured Jamaica from Spain.

Hope Botanical Gardens

Hope Botanical Gardens was established in 1873 on the the Hope Estate and was named after Major Richard Hope believed to be the first British owner of the land. The Hope Estate is huddled between Long Mountain and St. Andrew Mountain. Hope Garden have a wide collection of flowering and non-flowering, exotic and endemic plants. Hope boasts a variety of plant species, for example, the Cassia siamea which were planted in 1907 and now line the main entrance. Hope was a major experimental station for crops that were grown economically in the 1880's. Some of the crops that were planted are sugarcane, cocoa, coffee, bananas, pineapple, yam, and sweet potato.

Bob Marley Museum

Bob Marley Museum

The Bob Marley Museum is located on Hope Road in New Kingston. One of the most popular attraction in Kingston and a must see for visitors to Jamaica. The museum is situated on the site of the legendary King of Reggae Bob Marley home. The 19th century architecture house was Marley's home until his death in 1981. It was converted into a museum six years later by his wife, Mrs Rita Marley. The main museum displays Marley's personal treasures. The property also features a well-equipped 80 seater theatre, a photographic gallery, and a gift shop. The venue allows you to see every aspect of the life of Bob Marley.
